What a game!
In the Northeast, as I’m sure it is in other cold weather communities, high school playoff hockey is a special time of year. Not only for the players and kids cheering them on, but also for the parents and towns as well. Rivalries are born or continued during these fast paced, high intensity weeks. All vying for a chance to be the last ones on the ice, victorious.
For those lucky enough to win and move on to the next game, it’s as exhilarating as it is fleeting. For the next game brings another level of action and another opportunity to bring their fans along for the ride. In the end we all play our last game someday, but the memories of how we got there will remind us of just how special that journey was, every year, for the rest of our days.
